    BJ’s… Wholesale Club is seeking a bright, results-driven engineering manager to join their Digital team. The individual will lead a high-performing team responsible for the design, development and maintenance of enterprise applications and software platforms supported by their respective development team members. As a leader of the storefront engineering team, you will create an impact by providing direction for continuous improvement and involve in strategic planning for building future capabilities.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Engineering (30%):

    • Responsible for creating and reviewing architecture for new features/enhancements.
    • Work closely with the engineering team to make sure solutions are adhering to the overall architecture of the application.
    • Conduct discovery and feasibility study for new features/vendor integrations.
    • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback.
    • Analyze the latest technologies and work with architecture team and platform team to onboard them as needed.

    Delivery (30%):

    • Manage scope, estimate, and execution of complex projects which span across multiple portfolios
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external parties to develop and deliver quality products.
    • Communicate the project status with business teams and other key stakeholders.
    • Identify risk and create mitigation strategies for the success of the projects.
    • Create and maintain documentation for relevant features.

    People Management (40%):

    • Provide coaching and mentoring for team members
    • Work with HR for recruitment and selection of new team members.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide recommendations on individual development plans
    • Foster a culture of innovation and growth

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or similar
    • 8+ years of overall experience with 0-2 years of management experience.
    • Hands-on experience with React/Angular Framework(React preferred)
    • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS.
    • Hands-on experience with various automated testing frameworks.
    • Experience in building integrations with 3rd party vendors.
    • Experience with AWS platform.
    • Knowledge in eCommerce domain and Adobe platform is a plus.
    • Exposure to micro services architecture, cloud native architecture, test driven development.
    • Exposure to various performance monitoring tools.
    • Experience with various tools to enable CI/CD(Jenkins/Bamboo)
    • Experience with Agile methodology.
    • Hands-on, execution-oriented, and capable of getting things done quickly
    • Ability to work in a Product Team model, in a fast-paced, flexible, Agile environment
    • Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues in timebound manner
    • Strong Oral and Written Communication.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills
    • Excellent work ethics with a strong determination to accept new challenges
    • Proficient in problem-solving
