    The CoreOS software team is looking for a dedicated and experienced Embedded Software Engineering manager in Power Systems (PMIC) and SMC (System Management Controller) Platform FW/SW group for Apple products. Responsible for development of System Management Controller platform FW/SW and Power Systems (PMIC) FW/SW. You will contribute to the success of much of Apple’s product line including iPhone, iPad, Macs, Apple Watch, AirPods, AppleTV and HomePod. This is a highly multi-functional role where you will work closely with SW, HW, Systems, Platform Architecture, and our Silicon partners and lead the SoC bring-up and feature development from pre-silicon to commercialization.

    • 5+ years of embedded software/firmware development experience
    • 5+ years of technical leadership and management experience
    • Experience on SoCs, Firmware and device drivers
    • Experience managing a team of software and firmware engineers
    • Experience in silicon and pre-silicon bring-ups
    • Good to have knowledge of System Management Controller and Embedded Power System Technologies
    • Proven record of delivering high quality software aligned with program schedules in a fast paced environment
    • Experience influencing multi-functional teams to deliver successful products
    • Experience hiring, retaining, motivating top talent within the team

    Handle numerous projects and conflicting priorities from silicon conception and through ramp to mass production.
    Communicate status and progress clearly multi-functionally.
    Set expectations with software, silicon, hardware partners and handle conflicting points of view.
    Balance high quality product delivery under very tight schedules while fostering long term innovation.
    Act as a technical leader when design directions are unclear.
    Strengthen the team by hiring and retaining top engineering talent.
