Sr. Back-end Ruby on Rails Developer Ruby on Rails, MySQL, APIs, and more
SK Intertainment is seeking a Senior Back-end Engineer with extensive experience in and mastery of Ruby on Rails to join our growing team. You'll jump right onto the team, instantly contributing and shipping code. Each Sprint you'll be a part of solving complex business requirements, maintaining current applications, and… shipping code out to highly trafficked servers. Must Haves:
- Highly skilled in Ruby and Ruby on Rails
- Data modeling and database design
- Building and integrating with APIs
- Ecommerce and billing processor integrations
- Application & Database architecture
- Rspec testing
What You Will Work On:
- Integrating with third party APIs
- Legacy Billing and Authentication Systems
- Authoring RSpec Tests to improve confidence levels
- Data design and application architecture
- Solving a variety of complex problems by utilizing your experience
- Building highly performant queries and code
What We Use:
- Our backend stack: Ruby 2+, Rails 3.24, RSpec, MySQL (MariaDB), Capistrano, ElasticSearch, git, Unicorn, Puma, Nginx
- Applications: Slack, GitLab, New Relic, Sentry, and GitLab CI
- We practice Agile / Scrum product development. We use JIRA, host daily stand ups, and work in 2week sprints
- We're Mac users and primarily work remote
