ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Ruby on Rails developer to join our Web team. In this role, you should be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defects. You should be a team player and excellent communicator. Your goal will be to work with internal teams to design, develop and maintain software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in requirements analysis
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture
- Write clean, scalable code using Ruby on Rails and JavaScript/jQuery
- Test and deploy applications and systems
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code
- Improve existing software
- Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- Proven working experience in developing applications with Ruby on Rails (2+ years)
- Proven working experience in software development (2+ years)
- Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, and React Native
- Knowledge of test suites for both Backend and Frontend
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Works well in a team setting
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services including MySQL, EC2, S3, and other external web services
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related subject is a plus

- Linux / Proxy server exposure
