Bitbrand is looking for a Smart Contract Engineer (Solidity & Polygon)

We are seeking an experienced Smart Contract Engineer with a strong background in Solidity and a deep understanding of Blockchain and Computer Science fundamentals.

About Us…

We are a startup building innovative digital products for some of the biggest names in luxury fashion. Our mission is to leverage Blockchain technology to bring luxury fashion products into the Web3 marketplace.

About You:

You are a Senior level engineer with at least two years of experience developing Solidity-based smart contracts. You have designed, developed, and deployed scalable and secure dApps using Ethereum and/or Polygon and can provide code samples that demonstrate this. You can read, write, and speak fluent English.

Responsibilities:

As a Smart Contract Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and auditing smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain using Polygon as a Layer 2 interface. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Security-First Smart Contract Development: Design and develop robust, secure, and efficient smart contracts using Solidity that adhere to best practices and industry standards. Prioritize security and stability throughout the development process to ensure the safety of our client's digital assets and credentials.

  2. Contract Auditing: Conduct thorough audits and testing of smart contracts to identify and address potential vulnerabilities, bugs, or inefficiencies.

  3. Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Business Development teams to ensure holistic integration of smart contracts into our digital products. Identify areas of improvement and provide guidance and resources when necessary to ensure a broad understanding of development objectives.

  4. Research & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in smart contract technologies and blockchain security to maintain a high standard of development.

Qualifications:

  1. Solidity & Polygon Expertise: Strong proficiency in Solidity and hands-on experience with Polygon (previously known as Matic) is essential. A proven track record of successfully developing and deploying secure smart contracts on the Ethereum network using Polygon is highly desirable. Experience with Crossmint is another huge plus.

  2. Blockchain Knowledge: Deep understanding of blockchain fundamentals, decentralized applications (dApps), and the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

  3. Security-Oriented Mindset: Demonstrated experience in prioritizing security in smart contract design and implementation. Familiarity with common security vulnerabilities and strategies to mitigate them.

  4. Development Experience: Proficiency in software development practices, version control (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Experience owning and shipping products across multiple domains.

  5. Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic startup environment. Have a constructive, problem-solving attitude and be willing to help other team members. We are a fully distributed team and value those with thoughtful and proactive asynchronous communication skills.
