Texas has over 425,000 miles of buried pipelines and cables. Electric power lines, cables, conduit and lighting cables; pipelines carrying natural gas, oil, steam, petroleum or gaseous products; telecommunications, alarm or… signal lines, cables or conduit; potable water; reclaimed water, irrigation, slurry lines, sewer and drain lines. Texas811 runs a contact center that connects the excavators performing work in Texas with the facility operators to protect that buried infrastructure from damage.

Job Description

Texas811 is looking for a full stack C# .NET developer to add to our development team. The most desirable candidates will also have strong JavaScript UI and SQL Server skills.

Qualifications

  • Maintenance of code

  • .NET, C#

  • HTML / JavaScript

  • JavaScript AJAX/UI toolkits

  • Apache

  • SQLServer

  • PostgreSql (plus)

  • GIS knowledge and experience (big plus)

  • Willingness to learn new environments and languages

  • Excellent organizational skills and analytical skills are essential

  • Must be flexible and willing to adapt to changes and have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, remote development teams and other departments

  • Ability to wisely balance business, design, and technical constraints

  • Must have excellent English communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
