Title:
Associate Project Manager, Engineering

Under broad direction as an Associate Project Manager - Engineering, you will be responsible for all phases of planning and execution on multiple small (typically less than $10 million total installed cost) major project(s) or may be responsible for a segment of a larger project.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
  • Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction.
  • Possesses knowledge of industrial process facilities. Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders.
  • May also serve as the proposal manager of medium-sized projects.
  • Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
  • 7-10 years related experience
  • Project Management Experience a plus
  • Experience in Electrical/Instrument Engineering/Design or construction preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function as an individual lead
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communications & ability to collaborate.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects/tasks and drive projects to completion with strong operability to support reliable, high-quality production.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required and experience with Microsoft Project, SAP, and/or other project management tools preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work is located at a chemical plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes
  • Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots
  • Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc
  • Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs
  • May require walking the project property
