Work you'll do The Tax Security Senior Manager works closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support business transformation. Reporting to the US Tax BISO, you will have the responsibility to influence cyber security strategy actions through proactive planning and implementation of security controls. You will leverage a high degree of integrity, sound judgment, as well as domain competency in the field of information security and risk management. This role is responsible for ensuring the security posture of Deloitte's Tax business applications by driving security best practices with adherence to security policies, Deloitte standards, and industry-accepted best practices. Bridging the gap between technical and non-technical domains, the Senior Manager serves as a trusted advisor regarding security risks and risk mitigation activities. As a member of the BISO team, you will work with the business technical leaders and development teams across the IT organization to deliver and sustain secure: AWS, Azure, GCP and Deloitte Private Cloud solutions. The team serves as a trusted partner to our Service Lines helping to transform their experience with cloud to secure deliver current and planned innovative business outcomes, applications, and services. Your responsibilities will include partnering with business-lead development teams and successfully leading the security design and delivery operations of cloud security solutions. You will be challenged to find approaches that enable the rapid adoption of new cloud services, drive innovation and transform IT. Responsibilities: + Assist in the evolution of a security architecture strategy supporting BISO initiatives including cloud application modernization through expanded use of API and container environments and cyber acceleration programs particularly related to ransomware preparation and response. + Engage closely with the respective service line leaders, Engineering, Cyber Operations, and domain area architects to ensure adequate security architecture investments and controls are in place in alignment with commercial best practices, SDLC requirements, standards, and policies. + Provide technical guidance and foster a collective understanding of data flows and assessment of security vulnerability issues encountered in applications and services. + Staying abreast of changes in vendor landscape and providing guidance regarding cloud service offerings related to microservice based architectures and API protections. + Exhibiting a high level of professional flexibility, an ability to work independently, have a strong willingness to learn, and manage multiple tasks. + Collaborate on the development of the technology strategy, technology standards, roadmaps, and practices. + Define and deliver the appropriate cloud solution architecture and strategic approaches to support various cloud native, hybrid, non-hybrid, and migration engagements. + Be the go-to expert for Cloud Architecture. You should have a deep understanding of IaaS, CaaS and PaaS services offered on cloud platforms and understand how to combine them to build complex and innovative solutions. + Serve as a trusted advisor for cloud initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice while also building organizational partnerships and networks to ensure comprehensive cloud capabilities are developed with input from appropriate business and IT resources. + Work with your peers to automate and build tailored solutions with repeatable patterns that can be leveraged across business and IT solutions. + Assist in the management of day-to-day operations of the team. Areas of focus include: + Risk & Compliance + Identity & Access Management + Data Protection + Cyber Design + Incident Response + Security Architecture + Business Partnership Required Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications + Minimum 10 years of related technical operations experience in cybersecurity, architecture, cloud, and/or related technology strategy + Minimum 2 years of leadership/management experience Preferred Qualifications: + Considerable tangible experience with cloud infrastructure, data, and application services. + Strong experience designing and building multi-tenant IaaS and PaaS cloud solutions on either IBM Cloud, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud platforms. + Strong experience with cloud solution design patterns (microservices, messaging, distributed caching, containers etc.) + Strong experience setting project vision/scope, building the team to deliver, and overseeing delivery. + Proven track record of successfully adopting new technology at an enterprise-wide level. + Experience leading delivery of managed IT services to enterprise customers. + Exceptional communication skills and proven track record of presenting to executive-level leadership. + Strong experience leading technical project teams with the ability to lead people, provide direction, and set clear objectives. + Must understand Agile/SCRUM methodologies. + Experience with infrastructure as code development along with configuration management and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. + Demonstrated experience and knowledge involving the development of the security approach for multi-tier and cross-platform solutions. + Proven ability to communicate technical/security issues to technical and non-technical audience. + A background in general security practices such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and multi-factor authentication, security information and event management (SIEM), and other supporting technologies + Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CCISO, or CISA + Advanced Degree is highly preferred Limited immigration sponsorship may be available This compensation range is specific to the State of Colorado and the State of Nevada and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $124,600 to $255,900. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
