    Job Description SummaryThe Imaging Scientist, AI position serves a key technical role within the Imaging research & development team of a world-leading medical imaging manufacturer to develop new imaging methods and workflows leveraging artificial intelligence for the next-generation of imaging products. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesCombine knowledge of… imaging, engineering, and clinical needs to design and develop new intelligent capabilities leveraging automation and AI to improve the speed, quality, and consistency, and clinical impact of imaging workflows – from patient setup, data acquisition and reconstruction to image analysis and interpretation.Serve as GE technical lead on collaborative projects with academic partners on artificial intelligence and related fields to generate results that are in alignment with GE goalsDevelop new features as prototypes and deploy to external collaborators following GE design controls processesWork with an inter-disciplinary team to translate promising prototypes into product readiness and lead technical/clinical risk retirement towards new product introduction Conduct original research resulting in patent applications and scientific publicationsEffectively communicate technical analyses, results, and ideas to GE leadersIdentify industry and academic trends in the areas of AI research and new applications of AI relevant to GEQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s Degree in an engineering or science field such as Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math or PhysicsMinimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Artificial Intelligence and Medical ImagingProficient in building, optimizing, and deploying AI models for multi-language natural language processing (NLP)Strong foundation in theories underlying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques including conventional machine learning (classification, regression, clustering, etc), deep learning (CNN, RNN), natural language processing (NLP), and time series analysisExperience developing and deploying machine learning applications using common SDKs (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, Triton, etc), modern programming languages (Python, C++, R, etc.), and IDEs (Visual Studia, PyCharm, XCode, etc.)Experience working with high performance compute platforms (GPUs, TPUs, cloud, etc.)Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc)Ability to work independently and with minimal directionStrong collaboration skills and desire to contribute to a common purposeDemonstrated experience in research and development as evidenced by publication recordExcellent English language communication skillsDesired QualificationsPh.D. Degree in an engineering/science field such as Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math or Physics.Experience with Magnetic Resonance Imaging, including scanner operation, pulse sequence design, and image reconstructionLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
