Job Description:
- Management responsibilities for a team of engineers, including setting goals, timecard responsibilities, development plans, and training.
- Drive teams work to completion and be responsible for delivery and metrics of the team.
- Maintain and improve the process around which work is completed.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting equipment and systems
- Performs engineering RF/analog/digital design and measurement tasks as well as operational tests and fault isolation on radio system
- Uses a variety of test and measurement equipment to evaluate radio equipment performance
- Create test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
- Prepare test and diagnostic software, design test fixtures, complete test procedures for new and existing products
- Develop, debug, optimize test software using National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand
- Document test hardware and software using computer based tools
- Instruct technicians in the completion of test requirements as described above
- Ensures production goals & metrics are met from a test perspective
- Create/Update test station documentation items such as MTP’s, Station BOM’s, AMR’s, and TSW’s
Preferred Skills:
- MS degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Engineering Management.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum development process.
- Experience in digital, analog, and RF circuitry design/troubleshoot
- Measurement of key performance parameters using analyzers, generators, oscilloscopes, and meters
- Understanding of software defined radio products and communications
- Expertise in evaluation of designs for testability; Working knowledge of the fundamentals of In-Circuit Test (ICT), functional board level testing, unit and system level testing, coverage analysis
- Must be a self starter, and able to work successfully with minimal supervisionNI LabVIEW/TestStand development experience (CLAD or CLD certification)
- Experience with automation systems including electronic test
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
