    Position Summary:

    The OWL Reasoning in Rust Intern will implement software tools and APls for working with OWL ontologies using Rust. Port existing JVM-based tools to the Rust environment. Apply profiling tools to find and address performance bottlenecks. Make software releases on the Rust Cargo package system and on the GitHub code sharing repository.
    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

    Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
    Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

    • Experience with the Rust programming language
    • Some experience with, or interest in learning formal logic as used by the OWL ontology language
      Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience:

    Non-UNC Chapel Hill Student in their junior or senior year.
